Gat 5 Studio is home to artist, filmmaker and
music promoter Charles Ferraro. Ferraro attended The University of
Texas where he earned a BA in studio art. Since graduation Ferraro
has exhibited his work locally, nationally and internationally. His
current paintings incorporate bright abstract backgrounds with black
and white figurative imagery which reinforces the dual meaning of the
carefully chosen subject matter and text. The paintings are inspired
by a variety of sources including advertising, photography, abstract
expressionism, realism and pop art. Ferraro is also founder of Gat
5 Artist Collective which regularly holds interdisciplinary art exhibitions
and benefits. |
