I am attracted to the texture and lushness in all manner of organic forms, especially seed-pods and organic materials, such as earth. I use both in my work, and in the lines of my pieces I strive to mimic the curves followed in nature in both the macro and microcosm. I make jewelry that must be worn with an amount of awareness and attention. Either one’s posture is controlled, or one must be aware of one’s movements…the issue is not of control, but of awareness. Too often we are distracted, our attention shifts out of our bodies. My pieces are designed with the intent to refocus the wearers’ attention back to their own small shifts, and gestures so that a sense of belonging in space can inform the bodys’ movements.
