What
I am trying to do with painting changes every day: usually capture
some nuance of light, or record
an emotion, or just show my amazement at inheriting fifty pairs of
shoes from my stylish grandmother (we both have crazy-narrow feet).
Feel free to ask me questions about why I’m painting piles of
clothes, or on crumpled paper and canvas, or these old shoes. I have
good answers! As to why I use the colors or materials I do: I am just
being practical. As practical as art-making can be, anyway. I will
do my best to explain. |
