Except for a stint at
art school in Florence, Italy, Rachelle has been a Texas resident
her entire life, in big cities and bucolic
wide-spots-in-the-road alike. She has lived in Austin since 1998,
where she works as a graphic designer, enjoys creating visual art
and dabbling in fashion crafts. For three years, she was art director
for two ground-breaking publications, The BackWord and Austin Downtown
Arts magazine, and she is one of the founding members of Pump Project
Art Complex. In her current work, she uses a variety of paints on
old pillowcases and vintage ceramic plates. Rachelle’s portfolio
and art blog are online at www.artdivastudios.com
