I split my time between Austin and Mexico, and am inspired by both locales. I’ve been painting and drawing for about 35 years, and went to Art School at OU in Norman OK. My main theme, although I don’t like to actively think about it as I paint, is what I see as the two major sides of our natures: rational and intuitive, thinking and natural, imposing our ideas on Nature and cooperating with her. I use a slightly surrealistic approach to landscape and interior painting to illuminate this.
