In 2002, Neil Halloran
traveled to southern Africa to create a documentary on the AIDS
epidemic. After becoming inspired by individuals working
tirelessly to fight HIV/AIDS in their communities, Neil changed the
film’s message, titling it “5 Heroes of AIDS in Africa.” Since
2005 Neil has been producing “Our Bombs,” a documentary
that looks at the ethics of U.S. air strikes. The film explores how
detachment from violence affects decision making, and questions the
role of American values in the age of “smart bombs” and “collateral
damage.” Neil has been living in Austin since 2004. He produces
films and runs a web development business.
