The desire for furniture made of wood is an ancient one. The contemplation of geometry and ideal proportion is an ancient preoccupation as well. Macek Furniture continues the ongoing response to these impulses for the connoisseur with a modern eye. Macek Furniture has been designing and building custom wood furniture for private clients, retailers, and architects for 12 years. Mark Macek earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1990 and now teaches woodworking and furniture design at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture.
