Lindsey Bailey pushes
the traditional boundaries of clay, incorporating mixed media to
create installation art. As a teacher of art classes
for kids and adults, many of Lindsey’s works are influenced
by how children react to the world with an unselfconscious, happy-go-lucky,
safe and imaginative wonder. “I try to evoke the same sense
of excitement and playfulness that one observes in the way that children
interact with new things,” she says. Lindsey is a native Texan
who moved back to Austin less than a year ago. She has served on
the board of the Visual Arts Alliance of Nashville, Tennessee and
her work has been featured on Nashville Public Radio and HGTV.
