Lesley Nowlin has centered
her professional career on photographing and documenting various
cultures and political issues to increase
social awareness, with an intense focus on Latin America. Through
the lens, she continually strives to bring awareness to important
social issues such as racism, immigration and domestic violence.
Her images, while not always political in nature, uniquely capture
intimate portraits of people’s lives and situations.
Her artistic influence comes from viewing the work of renowned photographers
Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eugene Richards, Nikos Economopolous, and
many more.
