Frederick Tabares completed his BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in painting from Texas State University in 2006. A San Antonio native, Frederick has found a comfortable working environment here in Austin and amongst his colleagues in the Painterly Handsomes artist collective. For his sophomore contribution on the tour, Mr. Tabares has spent the previous 12 months experimenting with visual memory recollection and the sketchbook as a final piece of art. Frederick articulates this concept through a pictorial layering process on the canvas.
