Caitlin Macklin is a late bloomer and an idealist who is finally
figuring out how to make and meet personal goals. This series of
manhole-cover rubbings was done during three weeks of family touristing
in Southern Spain and Paris, France this past winter. With eyes trained
on the streets and crayons clutched in pockets, Caitlin uncovered
new textures of being in a foreign place. This made her feel better
about participating in guided tours.
