Arte Popular de México
is a unique gallery space that shows a rich variety of Mexican
folk art in wood, palma, carrizo,
chuspata, gourd, textile, cloth, ceramic, clay, majolica, talavara,
jewelry, lacquer, often found in remote villages where people use
native techniques that pass from generation to generation, some of
which are in danger of extinction because of the pressures of big
business, the rapidness of modern life and globalization (frigging
WTO).
