A textile artist and photographer,
April is inspired by the colors of nature and finds pleasure translating
organic patterns into functional
beauty to feed the human spirit and delight our living spaces. Felting
fine marino wool and embellishing silk fibers, she creates one-of-a-kind
hats and rugs. From Texas to NYC to the “bush” of Alaska,
her “chakras crowns,” are frequently purchased as the
last thread is clipped. Born and raised in Texas, April currently
splits her time between Buda, Texas, and Chitina, Alaska-where she
runs Spirit Mountain Artworks, a gallery of fine art and quality
craft inspired by Alaskan landscape.
