I build my paintings in different moments, anxiously enjoying the lingering evaluations. I try to move towards an unknown, a strange uncertain stability, a stability that is dynamic enough to continue a life of its own. During this working period I am thinking about the painting’s unusual requests from me, and its acknowledgement of my requests of it.
A spate of recent accomplishments have contributed to my renewed commitment to my post as the Darling of the Used Tire District. Those being, collection by the Dell Childrens’ Medical Center in Austin, a solo exhibit at the newly opened 4WallsFineArt gallery, and a two-person exhibit at the Newport Library Arts Center in Newport, NH (my hometown). Upcoming exhibits include November at the Davis Gallery, and December at Big Medium.
