I work in salvaged textiles. I use materials drawn from the bottom of the textile “food chain.” The majority of my materials are destined for landfill. I have a passion for lateral creativity. By that I mean the inventive and efficient redesign of existing objects. Up until recently I worked primarily in wool but in the last year I have expanded into cotton, linen and silk. My first love is constructing rag rugs using unusual and nearly lost techniques. I also design one of a kind hats, bags, scarves, and blankets. Most recently, I have become obsessed with children’s clothing.
