Holly is a painter with 25 years experience. Using traditional, experimental, physical and digital mediums, she paints portraits of her environment: people and possessions, images of pools and water—in oil, acrylic, pastel and sand. She also has 15 years behind her working in art libraries to pay the rent.

Blackspeer Studios is the home of Laura Schwartz and Thomas Speer. As the head of UT’s Fine Arts Library, Laura actively supports the arts and artists. Thomas is a longtime supporter of and participant in Austin’s cultural scene. Their home/studio is a center for artistic creativity and production.
